Abstract

The present study aims to test the relationship of the impact of human resource management practices with its dimensions (employment, training, performance evaluation, and compensation) as an independent variable in the contextual performance in its dimensions (organizational citizenship, and organizational commitment) as a dependent variable through the psychological contract with its dimensions (relational contract, balanced contract, contract Transactions, the transitional contract) as an intermediary variable at Wasit University, and the importance of this study can be highlighted by identifying the role of human resources management in practices related to employment, training, performance evaluation, compensation and their impact on employee performance, as the study sample consisted of (285) employees out of (1100) employees at Wasit University, and in light of this, data were collected, analyzed, and hypotheses tested using the statistical package for social sciences spss and Amos, and many statistical methods were used to achieve the objectives of the study, including modeling the structural equation. After conducting the analysis process for the study data and testing its hypotheses, the study reached the most important results, the most prominent of which is the existence of a statistically significant correlation and influence between human resource management practices and contextual performance through the psychological contract, which indicates the importance of human resource management practices in raising the level of contextual performance through the psychological contract. . The study reached the most prominent recommendations, the most important of which are: Increasing interest in the recruitment process and selecting individuals applying to develop and develop the skills of employees at Wasit University, by providing specialized training courses in training employees to apply contextual performance, cooperation between employees, commitment to work and achieving the university’s goals.
