The role of the strategy (S5) in product development

The main objective of the current study is to clarify the intellectual relationship between the  strategy S5 with its dimensions of product development and then support this relationship with the field side, and in the light of this relationship, the correlation and influence between the study variables are tested, and in order to achieve this purpose, the researcher designed a hypothetical scheme clarifying the nature of the relationship between the variables of the study.

The problem of the current study revolved around finding solutions for organizations that want to develop their products in ways that maintain competitive prices and high quality, as well as knowing the impact of each of the dimensions of the  strategy S5 (sorting, arranging, cleaning, standardization, and sustainability) in the product development process.

The practical aspect of the study was applied in Al Wasat Refineries Company, where the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and the study sample was chosen intentionally in order to obtain the best results. 14 forms are not suitable for analysis, so 168 forms remain subject to statistical analysis, and the total response rate by respondents was 85.7%.

The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation and impact between the strategy S5 and product development, and in light of this the researcher presented a set of recommendations, the most prominent of which was that the company’s management should adopt the five years strategy in all its dimensions and apply it clearly and support implementation from We have the senior management of the company in order to obtain the best results.
