Abstract:

This study aims to Cloud Manufacturing Application using Reengineering Production Processes in the Soda and Chlorine Production Factory, the study sample. As there were two main problems, they are: 1. The non- application re-engineering production processes according to the basic requirements for them in the researched factory. 2. The non-adoption of cloud manufacturing in the Iraqi industrial organizations in general and the researched factory in particular. The researcher relied on the case study approach to achieve the objectives of the study by using the process visualization tool as one of the tools for reengineering production processes, by designing a proposed framework and a checklist for cloud manufacturing to find out the availability of its requirements in the researched factory. As well as designing a proposed framework and checklist for reengineering production process to diagnose the gap between the actual reality of applying reengineering production process and its requirements in the researched factory. The researcher also used Excel 2016 to analyse the actual data, and some statistical methods such as the weighted arithmetic mean, the percentage of conformity, and the size of the application gap to diagnose gaps in the checklists. The most important conclusions reached by the researcher were the availability of the most important requirements for cloud manufacturing, which enables the application of cloud manufacturing by using the re-engineering production processes in the researched factory. The study presented a number of recommendations, including that apply cloud manufacturing within the proposed framework. ,And also the application of cloud manufacturing in the researched factory needs collaborative efforts between engineering staff, information and communication technology, and management, to give integrated views in its application, as well as support for senior management.
