College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala Organizes a Training Course Entitled “Focusing on Academic Accreditation to Achieve Quality Education”

The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, organized a training course titled “Focusing on Academic Accreditation to Achieve Quality Education”, targeting undergraduate students with the aim of enhancing their awareness of the importance of academic accreditation standards and their role in improving educational quality within universities.

The course was held from October 28 to 30, 2025, and its sessions were delivered by:
Assistant Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Najah,
Associate Professor Dr. Azhar Al-Jubouri,
and Associate Professor Dr. Layla Al-Hakim.

They presented a series of specialized lectures discussing the concept of academic accreditation, quality requirements, mechanisms for improving institutional performance, and the role of students in supporting and achieving quality standards within the department and the college.

The course witnessed active engagement from students through questions and discussions, reflecting their interest in understanding the organizational and academic procedures that contribute to the development of the educational process.

This initiative comes as part of the College’s efforts to promote a culture of quality and enhance students’ knowledge and skills, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s direction toward implementing academic accreditation standards at both program and institutional levels.
