College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala Organizes an Educational Course: “Arabic Language in the Digital Era: Communication Skills and New Media”

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized an educational course titled “Arabic Language in the Digital Era: Communication Skills and New Media” from December 22 to 24, 2025, with the participation of a number of postgraduate students. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to enhancing students’ linguistic and media skills in line with the requirements of the digital age.

The course was delivered by:

  • Dr. Salah Mahdi Jaber
  • Assistant Lecturer Suad Jabir Sultan

They covered multiple topics focusing on the status of the Arabic language in the digital environment, the impact of new media and social media platforms on expression and communication, as well as the challenges facing the Arabic language in the online space and ways to preserve its integrity and accuracy.

The course included theoretical and practical modules, such as digital writing skills, crafting high-quality media content, principles of effective linguistic communication in modern media, and developing students’ linguistic awareness to enable correct and effective use of Arabic in academic and media contexts.

Participants actively engaged in discussions and inquiries, enriching the course content and promoting the exchange of ideas. The course highlighted the importance of such programs in refining students’ skills and enhancing their academic and communication competencies.

This course is part of the cultural and training programs organized by the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, aiming to support the academic journey of students and build an informed academic profile capable of keeping pace with contemporary digital and media developments.
