The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala hosted the activities of Entrepreneurship and Creativity Week 2026 on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the College Deanship and its premises. The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the supervision of the Presidency of the University of Karbala, and with direct follow-up by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashem Jabbar Al-Husseini, with wide participation from academics, researchers, students, and graduates.
The week’s activities included a variety of scientific and knowledge-based events, such as specialized lectures and workshops, as well as panel discussions addressing concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation, the importance of supporting entrepreneurial and start-up projects, and highlighting the role of universities in promoting a culture of creativity and linking educational outcomes with labor market requirements and sustainable development.
Assistant Professor Dr. Hashem Jabbar Al-Husseini affirmed that hosting these activities aligns with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the vision of the University of Karbala in supporting youth potential, developing students’ creative capacities, and encouraging them to adopt entrepreneurial ideas, thereby contributing to preparing a generation capable of innovation and competitiveness in the labor market.
Entrepreneurship and Creativity Week witnessed notable engagement from the College’s students, who expressed the importance of such activities in developing their scientific and practical skills, learning about successful entrepreneurial experiences, and expanding their intellectual and professional perspectives.
At the conclusion of the events, the College Deanship praised the efforts of all organizers and participants, reaffirming the College of Administration and Economics’ commitment to continuing to host scientific and intellectual activities that contribute to advancing the academic journey and strengthening the University’s role in serving the community.
