Ministry of Higher Education Announces Opening of Applications to the Colleges of Excellence and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of electronic applications to the Colleges of Excellence and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The ministry clarified that the application requirements include:

  • Applicants must be high school graduates of the 2024/2025 academic year.
  • Applicants must be born in 2001 or later.
  • A minimum final grade of 85% is required.
  • Acceptance is contingent upon passing the English language test and the personal interview.

For the College of Excellence:

  • Graduates from both scientific and literary streams are eligible.
  • Scientific stream graduates may apply to all departments.
  • Literary stream graduates may apply only to the following departments: Business Administration and E-Commerce, Accounting and Banking, Philosophy and Sociology.

For the College of Artificial Intelligence:

  • Only graduates of the scientific stream may apply to the following departments: Engineering Applications, Biomedical Applications, and Big Data.

First-round graduates are eligible to apply to both colleges. If the admission plan is not fully completed, remaining seats will be filled by first- and second-round graduates according to the minimum departmental requirements.

Regarding the application form:

  • Scientific stream graduates may select at least two departments when applying to the College of Artificial Intelligence.
  • Scientific stream graduates may select at least three departments when applying to the College of Excellence.
  • Applicants may rank their choices across both colleges if applying to both.
  • Literary stream graduates must select at least two departments when applying to the College of Excellence.

The Ministry emphasized that applications must be submitted via the official electronic form of the Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up.
