Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, the Department of Accounting organized a training course titled “Steps for Preparing and Writing the Graduation Research for Fourth-Year Undergraduate Students,” held from October 13 to 15, 2025, with the participation of fourth-year students from the department.
The course aimed to equip students with the necessary academic skills to prepare their graduation research by introducing them to the steps of scientific research, starting from topic selection, problem formulation, and setting objectives, through designing the theoretical and methodological framework, and ending with analyzing results and writing recommendations in a scientifically proper manner.
The course lectures were delivered by Dr. Ahmed Najah and Dr. Laila Al-Hakim, covering practical topics such as scientific documentation methods, and techniques for formatting and finalizing the research in accordance with the academic quality standards adopted by the college.
At the conclusion of the course, the instructors emphasized the importance of academic integrity, avoiding plagiarism or unverified copying, and highlighted the role of graduation research in developing students’ research capabilities and enhancing their critical and analytical thinking skills.
This course is part of a series of scientific activities conducted by the Department of Accounting, aiming to improve student competencies and enable them to produce outstanding graduation research that contributes to addressing financial and accounting challenges in practical work.
