The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Receives Institutional Accreditation Committees as Part of Its Pursuit of Academic Excellence

As part of the strategic steps taken by the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala to obtain institutional accreditation, the respected Dean of the College received today in his office a delegation from the institutional accreditation committees concerned with quality assurance and university performance.

The meeting aimed to discuss the requirements of the institutional accreditation file and assess the level of progress in meeting the required standards. During the meeting, the Dean emphasized that the college places “quality” as a top priority across all its administrative and academic sectors, stressing the importance of integrated efforts between the college and central committees to achieve accreditation that ensures the rigor of academic outputs.

The meeting addressed several key points, including:

  • Performance Review: Reviewing the college’s self-assessment report for quality assurance and university performance.
  • Infrastructure and Services: Evaluating developments in university facilities and classrooms, and their alignment with international quality standards.
  • Capacity Development: Discussing training plans for faculty and staff to enhance administrative and academic performance.

For their part, the institutional accreditation committees expressed their appreciation for the high level of cooperation and transparency demonstrated by the college administration in providing the required documents and data. They commended the college’s commitment to implementing academic and institutional standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

This meeting reflects the aspirations of the College of Administration and Economics to adopt a path of excellence and leadership, and to move forward in enhancing its position both locally and internationally, contributing to the advancement of education and research in Iraq.
