In line with its vision to support and prepare students for the demands of the job market, the Business Administration Department at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala organized a specialized training workshop titled:
“Preparing for the Job Market – CV Writing and Interview Preparation.”
The workshop saw the participation of a number of fourth-year undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and individuals interested in career development.
The workshop was delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members from the department:
- Prof. Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi
- Dr. Ahmed Hussein Ahmed (Lecturer)
- Assistant Lecturer Ali Mohammed Mohsen
The training aimed to equip participants with essential skills for writing professional resumes that effectively showcase their academic and practical qualifications in a way that appeals to potential employers. It also focused on providing practical tips and effective strategies to help job seekers confidently prepare for interviews. Topics included understanding common interview questions and crafting polished, confident responses.
The workshop included interactive training sessions, featuring real examples of resumes and mock interviews. Participants received personalized feedback to help them improve their performance and increase their chances of securing suitable job opportunities.
The event received wide participation and strong engagement from the students, who expressed appreciation for such valuable training, recognizing its role in enhancing professional readiness and employability after graduation.
At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees commended the efforts of the presenters and organizers, emphasizing the importance of continuing such high-impact activities that support student development and prepare them for success in the local and regional job markets.
