A Research Team from the College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala Authors a Scientific Book Titled: “Fundamentals of Quality Management: Techniques – Processes – Approaches”

As part of the University of Karbala’s efforts to promote scientific output and enhance academic knowledge in the field of modern management, a research team from the College of Administration and Economics has authored a new scientific book entitled: “Fundamentals of Quality Management: Techniques – Processes – Approaches.” The book represents a significant contribution to the Arabic academic library in the field of Total Quality Management (TQM).

The research team consists of a distinguished group of faculty members:

  • Professor Dr. Mohammed Turki Abdul Abbas
  • Lecturer Dr. Essam Aliwi Sahib
  • Dr. Yasser Mahmoud Fahd

The book presents modern quality concepts in a scientific and systematic manner, covering three main pillars: the techniques used in quality management, the processes involved in achieving it, and the approaches applied in its implementation and evaluation. It also focuses on major international quality models such as the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) model, ISO 9001 standards, as well as Six Sigma applications and the Seven Quality Tools, supported by real-world case studies from various business environments.

The authors stated that the book aims to bridge the knowledge gap in the field of quality management within the Arab educational context, offering a scientific reference for students, researchers, and professionals—especially in light of the increasing challenges institutions face in their pursuit of sustainable excellence and improved organizational performance.

It was also noted that the book will be incorporated into several academic programs within the college and will be made available in both physical and digital academic libraries to ensure broad access for interested readers and scholars.

This publication aligns with the College of Administration and Economics’ strategic focus on supporting scientific research and encouraging scholarly authorship that keeps pace with global developments and contributes to the academic and institutional community in Iraq and the wider region.
