As part of its efforts to promote leadership awareness among students, the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala organized a workshop entitled “The Role of Youth and Students in Shaping the Future”, attended by a distinguished group of professors and interested students.
The workshop featured lectures by Assistant Professor Dr. Mahdi Al-Yasiri, Lecturer Dr. Haider Al-Maliki, and Lecturer Dr. Mustafa Mohsen Shakir, and addressed several key topics, most notably developing leadership skills among youth and the importance of empowering students to be active contributors to community building and future decision-making.
The speakers emphasized that youth are the cornerstone of any developmental process, highlighting the need to support them both intellectually and practically to enable them to face modern-day challenges and contribute to the nation’s progress.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from students, who participated with enthusiasm and raised questions on the best approaches to enhance their leadership and creative abilities.
At the conclusion of the event, the Head of the Department of Economics praised the efforts of the organizers, affirming the department’s commitment to continuing such initiatives that benefit students and help prepare them to lead the future.
