The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashem Jabbar Al-Husseini, respectfully participated as a representative of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, at the Third International Scientific Conference organized by the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) / College of Administration and Economics, under the title:

“Administrative and Economic Sciences: An Approach to a Sustainable Iraqi Economy”

The conference was held with the participation of a large number of researchers and academics from various Iraqi, Arab, and international universities. It was attended by prominent academic figures, as well as representatives from several government institutions and the private sector. The conference is part of ongoing academic efforts to support Iraq’s developmental and economic visions by adopting modern scientific approaches that contribute to shaping a sustainable economy based on knowledge and the wise management of resources.

During his attendance, Dr. Hashem Jabbar Al-Husseini conveyed the greetings of the University President and emphasized the importance of enhancing scientific cooperation between Iraqi universities to serve the goals of sustainable development and to address the economic challenges facing Iraq. In his speech, he praised the organizational efforts of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa in hosting this distinguished scientific event and stressed the need to adopt the outcomes and discussions of scientific research within national economic policies.

The conference included scientific sessions that addressed several key topics, including:

  • Modern management and its impact on improving institutional performance
  • Fiscal and monetary policies and their role in supporting the national economy
  • Investment and sustainable development
  • The role of universities in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship

The conference concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening the contribution of scientific research to economic development. It called on universities and research centers to adopt applicable strategic studies that support the state’s plans for achieving a prosperous and stable economy.

The participation of the University of Karbala in this scientific conference is part of its commitment to supporting the academic journey and cooperating with national universities in addressing economic and social issues of national importance.
