University of Karbala – College of Administration and Economics Organizes Training Course Titled “Developing Legal, Financial, and Administrative Work Skills – Professional Level”

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of academic and administrative staff, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a specialized training course entitled “Developing Legal, Financial, and Administrative Work Skills – Professional Level.” The course witnessed the participation of a group of academics and professionals from related fields.

Held over several days, the course targeted participants from both within and outside the university, representing various government sectors and institutions that deal with legal, financial, and administrative aspects in their daily operations.

A distinguished group of professors and specialists delivered the course lectures, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, who addressed both theoretical and practical aspects of public administration and administrative leadership skills in institutional work environments.
  • Dr. Mohammed Salman, Lecturer, who focused on legal aspects related to public service, administrative legislation, and mechanisms for sound administrative decision-making.
  • Assistant Lecturer Imad Abdul-Jalil, who presented lectures on government accounting, financial oversight, and financial data analysis in public institutions.
  • Ms. Fata Abdul-Hussein, who conducted practical workshops on improving administrative performance, and mechanisms of monitoring and evaluation in institutional work.

The course covered a number of key themes, most notably:

  • Principles of administrative law and their application in state institutions.
  • Financial and accounting aspects of managing public funds.
  • Mechanisms for preparing financial reports and conducting financial analysis.
  • Modern management approaches and human resource management.
  • Job-related communication skills and drafting official correspondence.

The course aimed to:

  • Enhance the efficiency of employees in both public and private sectors in legal, administrative, and financial areas.
  • Equip participants with practical tools to promote transparency and governance in the workplace.
  • Strengthen participants’ ability to make administrative decisions based on sound legal and financial foundations.

At the conclusion of the course, participation certificates were distributed to the trainees, with an emphasis on the importance of continuing to hold such scientific activities that keep pace with professional developments and support the path of administrative and financial reform in state institutions.
