President of Wasit University Visits the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala to Strengthen Scientific and Academic Cooperation

On Monday morning, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala welcomed Prof. Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Aqabi, President of Wasit University. He was received by Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of the University of Karbala, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for scientific and academic cooperation between the universities, particularly in the areas of exchanging scientific expertise, joint supervision of research, theses, and dissertations, as well as the possibility of organizing joint workshops and scientific seminars that contribute to the development of the academic and research environment.

Both parties emphasized the importance of expanding frameworks of scientific partnership among Iraqi universities in ways that positively reflect on improving the outcomes of higher education and advancing the scientific progress of Iraq.

At the conclusion of the visit, the President of Wasit University expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, affirming his pride in the distinguished academic relations with the University of Karbala. In turn, the President of the University of Karbala and the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics reiterated the university’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with various Iraqi universities in service of the educational and research mission.
