Regulations of the Pass System for the Academic Year (2024–2025):

The suspension of the pass system will continue, and it shall be as follows:

  1. A student is considered eligible to pass to the next academic year if the total number of subjects they failed in the final exams does not exceed two subjects, provided that they are not prerequisite subjects for subjects in the next academic year. This year will be considered a non-failure year.
  2. The summer training subject is not counted among the failed subjects mentioned in item (1). The student must complete the summer training in the following year.
  3. The student has the right to benefit from the pass system or to repeat the academic year due to failure. Their choice must be submitted in writing to the registration division within a maximum of 12/31 of the same academic year, after confirming their academic status.
  4. A student who benefits from the pass system (entitled to attend and perform the duties of passed subjects) must attend lectures and final exams only for the failed subjects, and they are not allowed to retake the passed subjects nor be given grades for them again.
  5. A student who has obtained an official approval to postpone their study according to the instructions of exams No. (134) for the year 2000, can request to combine the postponed subjects with the pass subjects or to perform the exams for the postponed subjects separately. Their choice must be submitted in writing and kept in their file.
  6. A student who failed due to absence (dropout) is not entitled to benefit from the pass system.
  7. The failed student is treated as if they did not achieve success for the purposes of promotion, and cannot pass if they fail more than two subjects under any circumstances.
  8. The student has the right to take second-attempt exams in case of failure in the failed subjects only. As stated in Article (8/fourth) of Exam Instructions No. 134 for the year 2000, the student who exhausts their second-attempt exams for the pass subjects is considered a repeater and loses their seat.
  9. The student has the right to benefit from the pass system for scientific subjects only if the number of failed scientific subjects and pass subjects does not exceed two subjects.
