Business Administration Department Conducts Comprehensive Examination for PhD Students

The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, conducted the comprehensive examination for PhD students, in the presence of specialized scientific committees and under the direct supervision of the department chair and the college dean, as part of the requirements for obtaining the doctoral degree in the specialization.

The comprehensive exam is considered a fundamental academic milestone for PhD students, as it aims to assess their mastery of theoretical knowledge and research skills in Business Administration, in addition to evaluating their ability to apply modern scientific methodologies in addressing administrative and economic challenges.

The scientific committees confirmed that the exam was conducted smoothly and in accordance with ministerial regulations and instructions, with appropriate conditions provided to ensure that students performed their exams objectively and fairly—reflecting the department’s commitment to advancing academic and research standards.

For his part, the Head of the Business Administration Department emphasized that this exam represents a pivotal step in the journey of PhD students, as it prepares them for the stage of dissertation writing. He also affirmed the department’s and the college’s dedication to supporting researchers and enabling them to produce solid studies that contribute to community service and the promotion of sustainable development.
