Ministry of Education Announces Minimum Admission Scores and Tuition Fees for Evening Studies in Iraqi Universities

The Ministry of Education has announced the minimum admission scores for evening study colleges in Iraqi universities, along with the tuition fees and the categories eligible for fee reductions.

According to a ministry statement:

  • The minimum score for Medical and Health Technology colleges is 75%, for Nursing 70%, for Veterinary Medicine 65%, for Engineering 65%, and for Engineering Technology 60%.
  • Science, Computer Science, and Information Technology colleges, in all their programs, require a minimum of 60%.
  • Law colleges require at least 65%, while Political Science, Administration, and Economics colleges require 60%.
  • Physical Education and Sports Sciences have a minimum score of 57% for males and 55% for females, while Humanities programs require a minimum of 58%.

The ministry also stated that university councils are authorized to reduce minimum admission scores by up to three points.

  • Tuition fees for evening studies range between 750,000 and 3,000,000 Iraqi Dinars.

Furthermore, three categories of students are eligible for fee reductions:

  1. Blind students
  2. Students with disabilities with at least 70% impairment
  3. Students under social welfare covering 50%, provided that the applicant is not an employee, failing, or deferred student.
