The Council of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala held its seventh session for the new academic year, chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College, in the presence of the vice-deans, department heads, council members, as well as the student and faculty representatives.
The session began with a welcoming speech by the Dean, in which he congratulated the council members on the start of the new academic year and wished everyone a year full of academic and administrative achievements. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to the college’s strategic plans aimed at developing the educational and research process and enhancing the quality of academic performance.
The council discussed several items on the agenda, including monitoring the implementation of curriculum syllabi, preparing departments for midterm exams, and exploring ways to support student projects and scientific and cultural activities that contribute to developing their academic skills.
The meeting also addressed the follow-up of scientific and research committees’ work, plans to improve the university environment and services provided to students, and stressed adherence to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s instructions regarding academic quality and accreditation.
At the conclusion of the session, the Dean praised the efforts of the council members and the initiatives and ideas they presented, which contribute to enhancing performance within the college. He affirmed the continued commitment to working as a united team to achieve the college’s vision of academic and administrative excellence and community service.
