As part of its scientific and training activities aimed at developing students’ skills and enhancing their practical aspect, the College of Business and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a training course entitled “Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting” for the period from 20 to 22 October 2025, targeting students of the initial study in the Department of Finance and Banking.

The course was presented by Eng. Alaa Mohsen Mutlaq, during which he addressed the basic concepts of financial analysis and its importance in evaluating the financial performance of institutions, in addition to clarifying the methods of financial reporting and methods of interpreting the various financial indicators that help in making sound administrative and economic decisions.

During the course, a number of practical examples and applied studies were applied that enabled students to understand the mechanisms of analyzing financial statements and using modern tools in presenting results and recommendations.

This course comes within the framework of the college’s keenness to develop the scientific and practical capabilities of its students, and prepare them for the labor market in line with the requirements of the modern financial and banking sector.
