Professor Ilham Nazem Al-Shaibani Participates in a Specialized Workshop on “Business Ethics, the Evolving Concept, and Contemporary Issues in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”

Professor Ilham Nazem Al-Shaibani, a faculty member at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, participated in a specialized workshop organized by the Entrepreneurship Division at the Holy Karbala Chamber of Commerce, entitled: “Business Ethics, the Evolving Concept, and Contemporary Issues in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”

The workshop was held under the patronage and supervision of Eng. Zaman Sahib Abdul Awad, Chairman of the Chamber, in cooperation with the University of Karbala. It was attended by academics, entrepreneurs, and individuals interested in economic and commercial affairs on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Chamber headquarters.

During the workshop, Dr. Al-Shaibani discussed the historical development of business ethics, highlighting key ethical issues facing the workplace amid rapid digital transformations. She emphasized the impact of artificial intelligence on corporate practices and decision-making processes, and the importance of promoting integrity, transparency, and social responsibility within organizations.

The workshop also addressed future challenges for business ethics in light of accelerating technological changes, stressing the necessity of preparing a generation of entrepreneurial leaders aware of ethical dimensions in modern work environments.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the Chamber Chairman presented Dr. Ilham Nazem Al-Shaibani with a plaque and a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her distinguished efforts in making the workshop successful. Dr. Al-Shaibani, in turn, distributed participation certificates to attendees, highlighting the importance of continuing such initiatives to build an aware and ambitious entrepreneurial generation that contributes to the development of the national economy.
