The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced its strategic agreement with Google to provide the Gemini Pro AI tool to Iraqi university students free of charge for one full year, supporting their academic excellence and the development of future skills.

The offer includes Gemini 2.5 Pro for understanding complex requests, Veo 3 for video generation, and integration of the tool into Google applications such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet. Beneficiaries will also have expanded access to NotebookLM, audio summary services, and 2TB of cloud storage.

The ministry draws the attention of students that the Gemini Pro version, which is priced at $240 in online stores, will be available for free to all students of public and private universities starting Thursday.
