The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a specialized training course titled “How to Use SPSS in Statistical Analysis,” held from December 8 to 10, 2025, with the participation of several college employees and faculty members from various departments and units.
The course lectures were delivered by:
- Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Amanah
- Dr. Nibras Kazem Abd
The course aimed to equip participants with essential and advanced skills in statistical analysis using SPSS, one of the most important software tools used in scientific research in the fields of management, economics, and social sciences.
The course topics included a detailed explanation of how to enter data into the program, design questionnaires, and code variables. It also covered key statistical tests such as frequency distributions, correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing. Additionally, the course addressed how to interpret results and generate professional statistical reports.
The course included hands-on training that enabled participants to apply statistical analyses directly to sample datasets, which contributed to enhancing their proficiency in using the program and improving their ability to develop accurate scientific studies and research relying on rigorous statistical techniques.
At the conclusion of the course, attendees praised the scientific content presented and the interactive teaching approach of the lecturers, emphasizing the importance of such courses in strengthening the academic and administrative staff’s capabilities in conducting modern statistical analyses that support research activities within the college.
