The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala achieved a distinguished academic accomplishment by securing fifth and sixth places in the Creativity and Excellence Competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which witnessed wide participation from students of all Iraqi universities.

This achievement came as a result of the efforts of outstanding students in the department. Student Fatima Mohammed Hassan won fifth place, while student Mohammed Abduljalil Ibrahim secured sixth place, in recognition of their scientific and creative contributions that reflected an advanced level of competence and academic excellence.

This distinction represents a valuable addition to the record of achievements of the College of Administration and Economics, and the Department of Accounting in particular. It also affirms the college’s commitment to supporting talented students and encouraging their active participation in scientific competitions that contribute to developing their intellectual and research abilities.

For its part, the Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics commended this achievement, praising the efforts of the participating students and the role of faculty members in supporting and guiding them. The Deanship also reaffirmed its continued commitment to providing a stimulating academic environment that fosters creativity and innovation, in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to advance the educational process and promote scientific competitiveness among Iraqi universities.
