The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, organized a scientific seminar titled “Soft Skills and Self-Marketing: The Gateway to Professional Success” on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. This event is part of a series of activities aimed at enhancing students’ readiness to enter the labor market.
The seminar hosted Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Ali Khalil, Director of the Office of Administrative and Economic Consulting at the university. He delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of soft skills in the modern work environment, emphasizing their impact on professional performance and the improvement of individual efficiency. He also focused on self-marketing techniques and how to build a strong professional image that helps graduates stand out and succeed in the competitive job market.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ameer Atiyah, who conducted the discussion interactively, encouraging students to ask questions and share their opinions, which added a rich dialogic atmosphere to the seminar.
