In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the direct guidance of the esteemed President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala has inaugurated a special center for updating the voter registration records located in the Dean’s building.

This initiative comes as part of efforts to raise electoral awareness and encourage active participation in the democratic process, under the direct supervision and diligent follow-up of the College Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashem Jabbar Al-Husseini, who emphasized the importance of this step in facilitating the procedures for updating electoral data for the college’s staff and students.

The center aims to enable students, teaching staff, and administrative employees to update their information in the voter registry without the need to visit external centers, thus saving time and effort while ensuring the accuracy of the electoral data.

The center has been equipped with all the necessary technical and human resources to ensure smooth operation, with specialized teams from the Independent High Electoral Commission commencing their work to receive applicants and update their data according to approved regulations.

This step reflects the ongoing cooperation between the University of Karbala and state institutions to support democratic processes and enhance community participation in the upcoming elections.
