The Ministry of Higher Education has announced the mechanism and conditions for re-nomination (إعادة الترشيح), with the application period starting on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The categories eligible for re-nomination include:
✅ Eligible Categories:
- Students who failed in the previous academic year.
- Students who postponed their studies.
- Students with an average of 75% or higher who had their nomination changed after objecting to admission into technical institutes.
- Students accepted through central admission last year who did not complete registration (must bring the original copy of their preparatory school certificate and visit the university’s Registration and Student Affairs Department).
- Students who did not apply for central admission at all.
📝 Steps to Apply for Re-Nomination:
- Visit the nearest university to your residence after the application portal opens, to activate your exam number.
- Universities/colleges that appear in the system will be based on the student’s average and the minimum admission scores of the year they graduated from high school.
- Students can choose up to 10 options only (universities or technical institutes).
⚠️ Special Conditions & Procedures:
- Students who did not apply previously are allowed to apply when the form is available.
- Failed or postponed students must visit the college they were accepted into to have the form filled out by the college, along with a letter confirming their postponement or failure, addressed to the university’s Registration and Student Affairs Department.
- Students may cancel the re-nomination and revert to their previous acceptance within 3 days.
- Evening, private, and parallel education students are not eligible to switch to morning study through this process.
- The re-nomination applies to applicants through central admission, direct admission, and the Elite Channel.
- Any additional marks (bonuses) granted to students remain included in their average, even if the nomination is changed.
