Abstract

The current research aims to identify the extent to which entrepreneurial personality traits and soft skills are employed in reducing organizational inertia at the level of administrative leadership of the Etihad Company for Food Industries Ltd. in Babylon Governorate, as the entrepreneurial personality traits were measured through four dimensions, which are (the need for achievement, Alertness  ,control center, Innovativeness), and soft skills were measured through six dimensions (Communication skill, teamwork skill, planning and organizing skill, leadership skills, personal mastery skill, initiative skill), while the  Organizational inertia was measured through three dimensions (Insight inertia  , Action inertia  , psychological inertia ) , The research started from a basic problem represented by several questions revolving around the nature of the relationship between its variables in the field, the most important of which was (Do entrepreneurial personality traits and soft skills affect reducing organizational inertia?),In order to reach the results, the current research relied on the analytical descriptive approach in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, and the questionnaire was used as a main tool in collecting data in a sample of (132) individuals (heads of departments and officials of divisions and units) in the researched company, The research relied on a set of statistical methods represented by the normal distribution test, confirmatory factor analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling based on programs (SPSS V.25; AMOS V.25; Excel 13). The research reached a set of conclusions, the most prominent of which was the existence of a significant inverse effect relationship between, entrepreneurial personality traits , soft skills, in the organizational inertia , and this indicates the possibility of investing this relationship in reducing organizational inertia and This is done by investing in the attributes and skills of leaders that increase their ability to adapt to all environmental variables, as well as achieve success at work, maintain competitive advantage, accept challenges and overcome difficulties. Based on these conclusions, the research presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of a full orientation towards the development and investment of entrepreneurial personality traits and soft skills and enhancing them among the leaders of the researched company and benefiting from them in raising the effectiveness of decisions that achieve growth and continuity in the industrial environment and provide full flexibility for the company to adapt With environmental changes and reduce organizational inertia.
