College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala Holds Training Course to Enhance Legal Skills as Part of the National Education Strategy 2022–2031

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala organized an extensive training course titled “Enhancing Legal Skills,” within the framework of the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education 2022–2031. The initiative aims to raise the efficiency of academic and administrative staff and to modernize legal work tools within higher education institutions.

This course is part of a series of training activities the college is conducting in support of national efforts to build a comprehensive educational system that keeps pace with modern legal and administrative developments.

The course featured contributions from a group of legal experts, including:

  • Lecturer Firas Abdul Amir Al-Husseini, who addressed the theoretical aspects of administrative and university-related laws. He emphasized the importance of understanding the legal frameworks governing the operation of Iraqi universities.
  • Assistant Legal Advisor Haroun Rashid Al-Sharifi, who focused on the practical applications of laws related to employment, contracts, and university service regulations. He also discussed common legal challenges in institutional work and methods for addressing them.
  • Legal Expert Mustafa Adnan Al-Moussawi, who reviewed a selection of contemporary legal issues faced by government departments, highlighting litigation procedures and the importance of precise legal drafting in official communications.

The course witnessed broad participation from faculty and staff across various university departments, marked by active engagement and fruitful discussions on ways to promote legal awareness in the academic work environment. This reflects the college’s commitment to reinforcing good governance and the rule of law within higher education institutions.

At the conclusion of the course, participation certificates were distributed, with an emphasis on continuing such initiatives that contribute to developing qualified legal and administrative personnel capable of addressing modern challenges.
