As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the educational environment and provide suitable conditions for students and academic staff, the Services Division at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, has launched a major maintenance campaign covering all air conditioning units (split units) across the college.
This initiative is part of the college’s preparations for the summer season, aiming to ensure all devices function efficiently and provide proper ventilation and cooling in classrooms and administrative offices.
Maintenance Team
- Engineer Qusay Dhafer – Head of the Services Division, supervised the planning and execution of the campaign to ensure smooth and precise workflow.
- Anwar Ubada – Technical maintenance expert, responsible for conducting comprehensive diagnostics and identifying malfunctions.
- Habib Younis – Specialized technician, carried out repair works, filter cleaning, and replacement of defective components.
Campaign Scope
- Comprehensive inspection of all cooling units to ensure functionality.
- Cleaning of internal and external filters to enhance airflow.
- Checking compressors and condensers for optimal performance.
- Repair of electrical and mechanical faults.
- Replacement of damaged parts to ensure full readiness for the summer season.

Engineer Qusay Dhafer confirmed that this campaign is part of the routine maintenance plan adopted by the Services Division. He emphasized that the main goal is to provide a comfortable learning environment for students and a suitable work environment for faculty and staff.
He also added that the maintenance team will continue to monitor the performance of the units regularly and is fully prepared to respond promptly to any emergencies.
