The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, met with a devoted private sector figure, Mr. Taher Al-Husseini, representative of Haider Salim Al-Sa’ati Company, as part of the college’s openness to the business environment and its efforts to strengthen partnerships with various community institutions.
During the meeting, discussions focused on ways to benefit from the college’s academic and research expertise in developing the private sector, in addition to providing a supportive work environment for youth and the college’s graduates, in line with the university’s vision of linking educational outcomes with the labor market. The possibility of supporting students’ entrepreneurial investment projects and encouraging innovative ideas that contribute to the development of the local economy was also addressed.
Dr. Al-Husseini stressed that the College of Administration and Economics is keen on building fruitful bridges of cooperation with the private sector to achieve sustainable development and open new horizons for employment and training, noting that such meetings contribute to developing students’ skills and preparing them for the demands of the labor market.
For his part, Mr. Taher Al-Husseini praised the role of the college and its faculty members in preparing scientific competencies, affirming the company’s readiness to cooperate in the fields of training, supporting youth initiatives, and contributing to the provision of suitable job opportunities for graduates.
This meeting comes within the college’s orientation toward expanding strategic partnerships between the university and the private sector, thereby enhancing its academic standing and service to the community.
