The ministerial committee responsible for institutional accreditation visited the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala. The committee was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, accompanied by the assistant deans, heads of academic departments, and a number of faculty members.
This visit came as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to implement institutional accreditation standards in Iraqi universities and to enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance in colleges.
During the meeting, the Dean presented a comprehensive overview of the college’s development plans, infrastructure, academic programs, and the efforts made in the fields of quality assurance and academic accreditation, in addition to highlighting the major scientific and research activities currently taking place at the college.
The committee also conducted a field tour that included classrooms, scientific laboratories, the central library, the Student Affairs Unit, the Quality Assurance Unit, and the Internal Audit Unit. The committee reviewed the level of services provided to students and faculty members.
At the conclusion of the visit, the ministerial committee praised the clear efforts made by the college to elevate the standard of university education and to implement institutional quality standards, confirming that the College of Administration and Economics is considered one of the distinguished colleges at the University of Karbala in terms of organization, administration, and campus environment.
For his part, the Dean expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the ministerial committee for its support and constructive observations, affirming the college’s continued commitment to implementing its development plans to achieve full institutional accreditation in line with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in building robust academic institutions.
