Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, the Department of Statistics held a training course titled “The AI-Empowered Researcher: Automating the Scientific Research Lifecycle” from October 7 to 9, 2025, with the participation of the department’s faculty members.

The course was delivered by Lecturer Saif Abdulhussein Mohammed Mahdi and included practical modules on the applications of artificial intelligence across various stages of scientific research—starting from designing the research problem, data collection, and data analysis, all the way to writing results and academic publishing.

The course aims to enhance the skills of academic researchers in utilizing modern technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of scientific research, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s orientation toward digital transformation and the adoption of AI in education and research.

At the conclusion of the course, participants praised its rich scientific content, emphasizing its importance in enabling researchers to adopt innovative tools and methods that contribute to advancing the research process within the university.
