The President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, inaugurated a book exhibition dedicated to the works of the two Martyr Sadr figures, organized by the College of Administration and Economics in commemoration of their scholarly and intellectual contributions, and to honor their legacy in the fields of Islamic jurisprudence, thought, sociology, and economics.
The exhibition was organized following the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which approved several works of the Martyr Sadr figures to be included in the curricula of both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, emphasizing the value of their reformist thought and their pioneering role in renewing Islamic thought and linking it to human and societal issues.
During his visit, the University President toured the exhibition’s sections, which featured a collection of intellectual, jurisprudential, and philosophical publications by the Martyr Sadr figures. He praised the initiative of the College of Administration and Economics for organizing this cultural event, highlighting its reflection of the university’s commitment to the intellectual heritage of the nation’s prominent figures, and its role in fostering cultural awareness and encouraging students to engage deeply with the thought of pioneering scholars.
Meanwhile, Dr. Haider Al-Janabi, Assistant Dean of the College of Administration and Economics for Academic Affairs, explained that the exhibition is part of a series of cultural activities aimed at instilling intellectual values, developing critical thinking, and deepening students’ academic and national affiliation. He emphasized that the thought of the Martyr Sadr figures represents a pioneering school of reform, renewal, and authentic knowledge.
Dr. Al-Janabi also noted that the exhibition included a selection of important publications in the fields of jurisprudence, Islamic thought, Islamic economics, philosophy, and Sharia politics, in addition to works covering the biographies and scholarly journeys of the two Martyr Sadr figures.
