The Faculty of Business and Economics – University of Karbala Organizes a Course Entitled: Evaluating Sustainable Strategic Performance by Applying the Balanced Relations Card

The College of Business and Economics at the University of Karbala organized a specialized training course entitled “Evaluation of Sustainable Strategic Performance by Applying the Balanced Relations Card”, for the period from 6 to 18/11/2025, with the participation of a group of faculty employees and undergraduate and graduate students.

The course aims to enhance the capabilities of participants in evaluating institutional performance according to modern methodologies based on the Balanced Scorecard, which is one of the leading global tools in strategic planning and performance measurement, by linking short- and long-term goals to practical implementation within organizations.

The lectures were presented by:

Dr. Salah Al-Kawaz

Dr. Hossam Mohamed Ali

The course included several topics, most notably:

Introducing the concept of sustainable strategic performance and its importance in government and academic institutions.

Explain the components of the Balanced Relationship Card and how to use it in following up on achievement.

Practical Applications on Performance Measurement in Universities and Colleges.

Mechanisms for linking operational performance to strategic objectives.

Discussing successful local and international experiences in the implementation of the balanced relations card.

The course also witnessed a wide interaction from the participants, and the discussion was opened to exchange experiences and ideas on best practices in improving institutional performance.
At the end of the course, the importance of employing its outputs in developing performance within the college and promoting a culture of sustainable strategic planning was emphasized.
