Assist. Prof. Dr. Hashim Jabbar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at University of Karbala, participated in the elections of the Iraqi Academics Union – Karbala Branch, which were attended by a large number of university professors and academics from various colleges.
This participation reflects Dr. Al-Husseini’s commitment to supporting the academic union movement and enhancing the role of academics in serving the educational and research missions. The Academics Union is a professional institution that represents the voice of faculty members, defending their rights and promoting their scientific and societal standing.
Al-Husseini emphasized that participation in these elections demonstrates a sense of academic responsibility and contributes to establishing the principles of democracy within the university environment, praising the efforts made to organize the elections and the positive engagement shown by participating faculty members.
The elections at the Karbala branch witnessed a distinctive spirit of constructive academic competition, resulting in the selection of a group of academic colleagues for the branch council, further strengthening its role in serving the university community and developing higher education in Iraq.
