The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala participated in the Annual Fine Arts Festival organized by the Department of Student Activities at the university, under the patronage and presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, with wide participation from students representing various colleges.
The festival showcased dozens of paintings and handicrafts that reflected students’ creativity in addressing issues of society and national identity through diverse artistic styles, highlighting their cultural and aesthetic awareness.
In his opening remarks, the University President emphasized the university’s strong interest in nurturing student talents across various fields, noting that the university’s role goes beyond academics to include supporting and developing creative capacities. He also affirmed the university’s ongoing commitment to cultural and artistic activities, providing an environment that fosters skill development. He praised the great efforts of the Department of Student Activities in organizing this event, which has become an annual tradition celebrating university creativity.
For his part, Mr. Amjad Al-Yasari, Director of the Department of Student Activities, explained that the festival aims to highlight students’ artistic abilities and offer them a platform to express their aesthetic visions, noting that this year’s entries were marked by diversity and innovation.
The College of Administration and Economics participated with a collection of distinguished artworks created by its students, which were highly appreciated by attendees for their creative ideas and meaningful representations of national and humanitarian themes.
