As part of its efforts to enhance the analytical and financial skills of our dear students, the Department of Business Administration held an intensive specialized training course entitled: “International Diversification and its Impact on Reducing Equity Portfolio Risk”
The course was held over three days (15, 16, and 17 March 2026), and aimed directly at students of the Department of Business Administration, for the purpose of linking theoretical aspects of the curriculum with practical applications in global financial markets.
The course was lectured by the following lecturers to present the scientific material and its applied trainings:
- Eng. Zahraa Small Luxury
- Eng. Bariq Fadel
- Eng. Hossam Sattar
The course included a set of strategic axes that aim to build a conscious investment mindset among students, including:
- International Investment Basics: Understand the nature of global financial markets and how to access them.
- Investment Portfolio Theory: How to Distribute Assets in a Scientific Way to Reduce Regular and Irregular Risk.
- The importance of geographic diversification: How investing in different international markets contributes to protecting the portfolio from local economic shocks.
- Risk Analysis: Financial Risk Measurement Tools and How to Heedge Using Modern Mathematical Models.
The course witnessed great interaction from the students through discussions and practical exercises on how to build an internationally diversified equity portfolio. The lecturers stressed the need for business administration students to be familiar with these tools to be able to compete in the financial and banking market.
